As this is the first Global Coin blog, I thought it was important to introduce ourselves. Global Coin is a Midwest numismatic company based in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Together, our team has over 100 years of numismatic (coin) experience and services well over 10,000 clients. We are registered with PCGS and NGC, the world's two largest coin grading services, and have a perfect 5/5 rating from both Google and Facebook. We also boast an A rating from the Better Business Bureau and 4.7/5 stars on Trustpilot.

I personally started my long journey in coins and precious metals in Minneapolis, Minnesota in December 2001, but moved to Wisconsin to be closer to family and eventually to start my own company. After 22 years in the industry, it seems like I have seen it all, but I am regularly amazed at some of the coins that we are able to obtain. For example, recently we sold a collector a ONE KILO gold coin. (2.2 pounds of pure 24kt gold!) Holding that coin was incredible, especially considering it was the only one like it in the world, or what we call a "pop of 1." Global Coin specializes in coins like this that no one can get and often have tiny populations making them very rare and valuable.

Global Coin and Giving Back!

As our company grows, it is very important to all of us at Global Coin that we give back to the community. We decided a few months ago that we should find an organization that lined up with our value system of honesty, integrity, and accountability. U.S. Veterans have a special place in my heart as my grandfather served in World War II, and I have cousins and friends who have served. With a 100/100 Charity Navigator Score and a mission to help our U.S. veterans, we could think of no better charity than the Center for Veterans Issues. The CVI provides housing to homeless and disabled veterans and their families, as well as enables participants to become more self-sufficient by offering case management, basic needs assistance, alcohol and other drug abuse program counseling, as well as transportation assistance.

We decided that we would give 100% of all proceeds from the sale of our September 11 - 1oz silver bars from Monday, September 11 until Friday, September 22 and distribute all proceeds to the CVI. We were able to raise several thousand dollars with the sale of the silver bars and on Tuesday, October 3rd we presented Mr. Eduardo Garza Jr. the President and CEO of CVI with a check from Global Coin for $10,000. We are now gearing up to help with several of their other opportunities such as their Toy Drive from November 11-December 11.
