In 1916, sculptor Adolph Weinman gave America one of its most beloved coins — the Mercury Dime, with winged Liberty on the obverse and a fasces bound with an olive branch on the reverse. The U.S. Mint revisits the design in 2026 as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary program.

The first piece is the 2026-W Gold $0.10 Mercury Dime, a faithful strike of Weinman’s original design in gold, carrying the Liberty Bell 250 privy mark exclusive to the anniversary year. Its companion is the 2026 Mercury Silver Medal — a larger, fully sculptural rendering of the Roman god himself, caduceus in hand.

Both pieces are certified NGC Advance Release SP70 — the earliest, finest grade designation available. Both holders are hand-signed by Anna Escobedo Cabral, 42nd Treasurer of the United States. Issued under the NGC Global Coin Series Best of the Mint 2026 label.
